As temperatures drop and most of us start to settle in for the off-season, join Maggie Converse and Ashlee Willaman for a 6-week yoga maintenance program to help navigate all the parties, sweets and excuses NOT to exercise during the holiday season. Classes will focus on a specific muscle group, will cater to all levels (including beginners), and don’t be surprised if you break a little sweat. Add yoga this offseason to improve flexibility, strength and balance. Meets Nov. 7, 14, 21, Dec. 5, 12, 19. Fee: $50 for 6-weeks ($45 for returning students) or drop-in rate of $10/class

Tight hamstrings, IT bands, and hips got you feeling like the Tin Man? Not to worry, we can help you with that. Beginning Saturday November 16th, Maggie Converse, a yoga teacher, runner, and triathlete, will lead a 45 minute yoga class at PSBR to help you increase flexibility and learn about injury prevention for athletes. Each class will have a specific focus so as to address common injuries and how you can prevent them by incorporating yoga into your training schedule. We all have imbalances in our bodies, whether it is something we have had since childhood or from the constant physical stress we endure from training (and life in general) but unfortunately these imbalances very often lead to injuries. The goal is for you to leave each class with a basic knowledge of some poses that you can incorporate into your routine. We know you are busy, but this stuff is important so you can get through your cycling, triathlon, or run season injury-free. Remember, 10 minutes a day is better than no minutes a day! Meets November 16, 23, and 30th at 9:15am. $10 Members / $18 Non-members. Pay in cash at time of class.
